On Sunday, April 18, Art for Darfur 2009 raised $11,079.50 for Amnesty International’s advocacy and education programs for Darfur.
All money raised at this event will be earmarked to Amnesty International’s Darfur campaign. To this end, the funds will help finance Amnesty’s research missions to Darfur, produce creative Darfur-specific materials, support the work of Amnesty’s Darfur Advocacy Director, and bring educational and advocacy resources to our activists so that they have the capacity to bring awareness about the situation in Darfur to millions of people.
